Considering the stress and trauma that our community is enduring in this global pandemic and my inability to accept new clients, I am developing workshops and groups to provide a way to support more people in a different way. My goal is not to help you just cope in this dysfunctional world, but to thrive in it.
In our current political climate, it's more important than ever to teach ourselves and our children how to protect one's sense of self-esteem, to learn non-violent communication skills, and to hold ourselves and others accountable for how we treat each other.
In this workshop, you will gain an overview of a framework on how to create healthy emotional boundaries, understand how our brains might impact setting clear boundaries, and how to relate to each other in a respectful and effective way. I combine my training in trauma, neurobiology, couples therapy, and child therapy to present this information in a way you can teach yourself and your child.
This workshop is appropriate for parents, educators, medical professionals, childcare providers and therapists. After this introductory workshop, there will be an opportunity to deepen the learning by joining a multi-session group.
At the end of this workshop you will:

"This was such an informative workshop. I found I identified with so much of the content and I deeply appreciated how the information was well-connected. Judy did such an incredible job of presenting it in a way that could be received. I really look forward to processing everything I took away from the workshop. "
“Excellent, thorough, absolutely informative, and in ways I could not have anticipated. Cathartic and helpful in identifying opportunities for growth within and among family (and elsewhere).”
“Positive. There are many bits from the workshop that continue to come back to me.”
“It was really eye-opening and incredibly helpful. I came away with tangible tools that have already helped me and my children at home!”

My workshops teach about Healthy Boundaries. I define boundaries as the way in which we esteem ourselves and others; and the way in which we appropriately advocate for our needs and wants in a respectful and clear manner.
After completing any of my Intro to Boundaries workshops, you can take advantage of this six session group to deepen your understanding of healthy boundaries. Together, we use the framework I set out in my webinar as a guide. Each group session highlights, deepens and integrates each piece of the framework I've pieced together from numerous trainings: Nature of a Child, Neurobiology and Regulation, Internal Boundaries, and Non-Violent Communication.
Each session is broken into three sections:
Please note: while therapeutic in nature, these multi-session groups are not intended as group therapy.
What have past group participants shared?
" So helpful and revealing. As I said earlier, I have been trying to do the positive parenting thing for years, but it always felt a bit like trying to have a conversation using a foreign language phrase book. The material in this course finally gets to the heart of my struggle. It was a great format. Your slides and presentation are so helpful, and I loved being able to listen to and learn from the group. Their questions and observations really deepened my learning."
" I really enjoyed this course. I signed up to learn more about how to speak/listen to my family, kids and people around me. Although I learned a lot, I feel like we just scratched the surface. I learned so much from you and the group's experiences. Please consider offering part 2 of this work shop."
Six sessions for $300, payment due in advance.
Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm:
MAR 31; APR 7, 14, 28; MAY 5, and 12
What is evident in my clinical work and our current events is that many people have not been taught about boundaries in a mindful and compassionate way. Boundaries is an expression of how each of us differentiate and esteem ourselves and others; and the way in which we advocate for what we want and what we don't want. Therefore, boundaries is a vital life skill--a skill that can transform how you see and engage with those around you.
This two-hour virtual workshop is packed with tools I teach my clients in individual and couples therapy. At the end of this workshop, you will leave with a framework for how to create healthy emotional boundaries:
